Olympus Winter & Ibe selects EZ-Compliance to satisfy their J-SOX requirements

Olympus Winter & Ibe stands for innovative products in medical technology since its foundation in 1954. Today they employ 500 people. Their endoscope systems are recognized and esteemed throughout the world.

Since Olympus Winter & Ibe is a subsidiary of Japanese based Olympus Corporation, it is required to comply with the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (also dubbed as J-SOX), scheduled to go into effect in April 2008.

Forrester Research published about the specific challenges Japanese based companies face on J-SOX certification. Their main conclusion: "Audit automation is crucial. With the extreme shortage of auditors, compared to US per capita numbers, this shortage will increase the requirement and necessity for process efficiency in the internal audit process and software that can support these processes".
