EZ-Workflow at FTS - An update

As indicated in our April 2004 newsletter, FTS selected EZ-Workflow for their global Workflow Management infrastructure. Following a quick implementation involving only part time resources, FTS is now Live. Targeted to be the first workflow-enabled process, the Purchase Requisitions approvals are now fully automated. All NPP Purchase Requisitions are registered conveniently via an online form, triggering approval notifications to be sent to the appropriate users based on the transaction data of each requisition (amount, cost category, department, etc…) and based on the approval authority of each individual.

New EZ-Workflow release - Update

Already recognized by many as the most compliant and flexible Workflow solution for SSA Baan environment, EZ-Workflow is now even better. Its new release includes "Form Designing" capabilities to quickly create & personalize online templates, enhanced ad-hoc routing controls and improved collaboration features. Still fully compliant to all versions of SSA Baan, the new release proposes also a flexible infrastructure enabling the business automation of any cross-functional and cross-applications processes.

MD Robotics, SSA Baan user and manufacturer of the "Canadarm" (Space Shuttle Remote Manipulator) under contract for NASA, is well positioned to evaluate the significant improvement of the new release. Early user of EZ-Workflow, they recently updated to this one.

"Already an EZ-Workflow user since 2002, MDR is pleased to have upgraded recently to the new EZ-Workflow release. Its fully web-based architecture enables unlimited Intranet/Extranet executors to collaborate together, which represent an important MDR requirement to insure a low-cost global deployment of Workflow automation to all our processes. In addition to the Baan integration already in use since 2002, this new release provides us a powerful Online Form Manager. With this one, MDR now has the opportunity to replace countless paper-driven templates (xls, doc, pdf) with online forms, if desired, providing greater operations efficiency, real-time transaction tracking and consistent processes."
