"How Workflow Management significantly enhanced our Fujitsu operations" (This session is hosted by Fujitsu)
Abstract: Operating Baan since 1996, we, at Fujitsu Transaction Solutions, are always on the lookout for process improvement & cost reduction to keep us competitive in this global market. In line with this objective, we implemented Workflow Management to enable automation of targeted processes. Our Purchase Requisitioning process, done before via paper, is now fully web-enabled with the help of the Baan compliant EZ-Workflow engine. In addition to dramatically improving our approval cycle time, we can now monitor in real-time each requisition and approvers can collaborate from any locations via their online user Worklist. Come hear how Workflow Execution significantly enhanced our Baan and non-Baan operations at Fujitsu.

Learning objectives:
  1. How to handle complex and time-consuming approvals (Tips & Tricks of our implementation)
  2. How to replace manual templates by more efficient and globally available e-forms
  3. How we are now applying Workflow automation to other areas of our organization, and paving the way for better Performance Management.

"Business Process Management to insure consistent processes and to facilitate Sarbanes-Oxley compliancy" (This session is hosted by Herman Miller Inc.)
Abstract:Our Baan road-map started in 1997, and has enabled us at Herman Miller to have a strong back-office ERP transactions system. In parallel, our corporate-wide processes, defined in Baan DEM and EZ-Modeler, have enabled us to insure consistent operations both internally and with our B2B Extranet partners, while providing an efficient end-user learning & support environment. Our BPM infrastructure, key facilitator of our ISO certification, and is now helping us implement and monitor internal controls required by the Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Our experience and successes are yours to hear.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Using BPM, how to integrate multiple business solutions & partners (across the extended supply-chain) into one corporate-wide business model.
  2. How the above model provides an easy-to-use, business language oriented interface for users and insures consistent transactions across multisites operations.
  3. How to go about achieving a simpler and quicker SOX certification & compliancy

"Business Process Management (BPM), the low cost alternative to integrate & orchestrate your SSA investment" (hosted by DynaFlow Inc.)
Abstract:How will your organization achieve cross-functional & cross-applications integration, required to maximize ROI and to insure efficiency and consistency of operations? How can this be done while providing all users a unique but easy to use interface? BPM is the key to make it possible. Not only does it provide a corporate-wide framework to provide best practices processes and link supporting applications, it also facilitate the extended supply-chain collaboration and knowledge transfer. Case study oriented, this session will present how Fujitsu, Comcast, Herman Miller, MD Robotics and Solar Turbines improved significantly their global processes in the following areas:

Learning Objectives
  1. How to achieve corporate-wide integration of processes, applications and users.
  2. Co-presented, attendees will hear tips & tricks and lessons learn from actual customer implementations
  3. How to improve labor intensive processes using Workflow automation.
