EZ-Process Client/Server Hardware Sizing Requirements

Find below the Hardware & Network Sizing guidelines applicable to the installation / implementation of one or several modules of the EZ-Process Suite:

Additional notes:

It is required that the EZ-Process server be a dedicated CPU (to eliminate possible web-applications conflicts and/or performance issues between different applications). The EZ-Process SQL/Server database can, however, be local to the application server or located on an external database server (cluster or not).
Environment with multiple domains and/or cross-domain structure needs to be evaluated in a case-by-case basis due to access & security requirements of EZ-Process
Most of the EZ-Process modules are generating email notifications (Revision Control, Electronic approvals, Validation requests, etc…). In order to be sent, a customer-based SMTP server needs to be provided and a valid email account ID/address need to be created and configured in EZ-Process.
The minimum Server requirements above are valid for all EZ-Process modules based on typical traffic generated by a small to middle size company. If EZ-Process Web-components are to be accessed by a larger number of people daily, the Server specifications should be enhanced to ensure optimal performance.
The minimum Server requirements above are valid for EZ-Workflow if operated with a light-to-medium load (up to 150 concurrent instances). Beyond that point, the Server specifications should be enhanced to ensure optimal performance.
The EZ-Modeler module is Client-based and therefore does not require any server component.

Additional notes:

The EZ-Process Suite includes several "Portal" components. Fully web-based (zero installation), these can be accessed/operated by PCs having the minimum requirements above. Administrators, operating Client-based "Dashboards", should aim for the recommended requirements.
Compliance Administrators operating EZ-Compliance must ensure that a minimum of 1Gig RAM is available on the computer used to display the Access Authorizations and SOD Conflicts lists. In addition, the computer used to perform the SOD scans (desktop or server) should be a single-thread P4 CPU with 2.0+ GHertz as a minimum (multi-threads CPU recommended).
